Find Your Representatives
Find the people who represent your community and the right office for your recycling policy question.
Find your California legislator
Use the official Legislature lookup to find your State Senator and Assemblymember by address. Open their official office pages for district and Capitol contact information.
Enter your address on the government website. This page does not collect or store your address. If a lookup is unavailable, try the alternative official tool. Confirm district boundaries with your county registrar or elections department when accuracy is essential.
U.S. House of Representatives
Find your member of Congress using the official ZIP-code lookup, then follow the member's website and contact page. A ZIP code can cover more than one district; follow any address instructions on the official tool.
Select California in the official Senate directory for current senators and office contact links. A State Senator and a U.S. Senator serve different levels of government.
Use official local-government directories to find your city council, mayor, county supervisors and relevant departments. Confirm your district and office on the city or county website.
For an individual CRV certification, payment or compliance question, identify the responsible agency program. Legislative offices and agency staff have different roles.
State legislation: your California Assemblymember or State Senator; include the bill number and specific requested change.
Federal legislation: your U.S. representative or California's U.S. senators.
Local siting, zoning or municipal service: the city or county department handling the issue, and your local elected representative when appropriate.
CalRecycle proceedings: the responsible program or the official public-comment channel identified in the notice. Contacting a legislator does not substitute for submitting comments or meeting an agency deadline.
Make your message useful
Identify yourself and your connection to the district or community.
Describe the issue briefly: location, bill or proceeding, date and practical impact.
Link the official source and state one clear request, such as a meeting, clarification or policy review.
Use the office's published contact method, keep a copy and follow up respectfully.
Avoid sending sensitive personal or business information until you understand the receiving office's privacy practices. Do not assume a message or attachment is confidential.
Independent information, official destinations
Recycling Policy & Industry is an independent public-information platform, not a government office. These links help you use official directories; we do not assign districts, maintain an elected-official roster or send messages on your behalf. Representatives and boundaries can change. Confirm the current office and district on the official website before contacting anyone.
Directory links reviewed October 6, 2026. The Legislature's primary lookup could not be retrieved during this review; the Assembly's alternative address lookup and federal directory descriptions were checked. Use the official tools for current results.
